Dr. Kailash Seetharaman Gopal

A career enriched with four decades of professional experience, Dr. Kailash Gopal is a seasoned Chest Physician from Mylapore, Tamil Nadu. He specializes in the management of Asthma and Allergic disorders. Dr. Kailash lays great emphasis on philanthropic activities and believes in treating patients at a reasonable cost. He holds a high degree of professional commitment and thus makes himself available on call, for any medical emergencies.

Dr. Kailash has successfully secured a host of medical qualifications like MD, Post Graduate Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases (DTCD). He is a Fellow of Council Independent Medical Practitioners of India (FCIP), Member of Indian Association of Biomedical Scientists (IABMS) and Member of American College of Physicians.

Dr. Kailash is presently the Medical Director of Asthma and Allergy Clinic, located in Mylapore – a centre equipped with all the modern facilities to diagnose any allergic disorders. Patients with Asthma visiting the centre are provided with all the necessary guidence and tools to manage their disorders. A dedicated Asthma counsellor educates the patient on the correct use of Asthma management devices. Subsequently, a thorough follow-up of patients is done till the successful completion of the treatment.

Additionally, Dr. Kailash is attached to Madras Medical College and Kilpauk Medical College as a teaching faculty for undergraduate and post-graduate students. He has enormous experience in conducting a large number of medical conferences, seminars and workshops. He is also the current President of IMA Chennai Metro Branch.

Dr. Kailash has delivered public lectures on a wide range of topics covering preventive health care aspects. Dr. Kailash may be contacted to showcase presentations on relevant topics and for this he charges a nominal fee which is donated towards ‘Society for Service’- an organisation that caters to meet the financial needs in healthcare for the poor and the under-privileged. Such exceptional contribution in social work has earned him recognition in the form of awards like Best Doctor Award for Social work by Journalist Association, IMPAI Growth Award for Outstanding Contribution to Medical Profession by Independent Medical Practitioners Association (IMPA) and Jana Sevak Award for public work by Jan Kalyan.
